Expectations, Obligations & Behaviour
All event members are expected to take responsibility for their own & each other’s safety & wellbeing & to behave with integrity, due consideration & respect for others.
The success of any event or expedition depends on how people foster an enjoyable rewarding, positive environment for our adventure together. We should all behave respectfully & with good intent to make that happen. Stressful situations on expedition can sometimes lead to misunderstandings & tensions; but with the right attitude to the good intent of the other side, these situations can nearly always be resolved early & amicably. Leaders are always there for a chat if there are issues you think need to be addressed. Whilst we don’t anticipate any of these happening, below are some examples of behaviour that we would consider totally unacceptable on expedition:
We don’t impose many obligations, only core things that are needed to make sure things run safely & effectively:
Should any member of the expedition contravene any of these rules or behaviour expectations, the leader reserves the right to sanction the individual(s) concerned by excluding them from social activities or some other appropriate restriction.
In extreme or repeated cases, the leader may decide that the participant cannot continue with the expedition. Any required special transport arrangements to enable this will be at the participants’ expense. |
